Books reviews
After borrowing this book from the library multiple times, I bought it. I love it. This is an essential reference volume for any serious quilter or textile artist, with beautiful photography, concise and informative text. A visual treat!
Don't get me wrong--I read voraciously and I am ridiculously educated but this should not be sold as a craft book. The photographs are lovely, the text is engaging and enlightening. No one would ever be able to produce a French work quilt from this book.
If you are interested in the art of the French Boutis style, this book is a terrific reference. There are a lot of good photos showing the details of antique quilts and Boutis. Wonderful source of ideas for interesting ways to quilt a top, or as a reference of historical needlework.
Worth every penny.
beautiful book. great service. thank you.
Lovely book with excellent photos and descriptive histories. This book is especially good to have in a textile library because it isn't likely a person will come across one of these beautiful quilts very often.
it's absolutely gorgous. not only about quilting but all kinds of historical information about provence and france etc.etc.
book is used but in perfect condition and i received it earlier than expected and the price was amazingly inexpensive.
Beautiful photographs!
