This book is very easy to understand. Everything is laid out nicely. The Kindle rental price is great, too. I already had the physical book, but rented the Kindle version for this semester of college because it was so cheap.

Everything is the White Man and the West's fault. That's what I got out of this book that we used for my Political Science class......

Exactly as described.
Akinozuru
A very informational text that combined information on Islam with information on the region ethnically, geographically and politically.

It is now (2015) a dated book as well as being full of grammatical errors and difficult to read. There are many better books on this topic.
While this book gives a decent overview (albeit dated and incredibly biased) of geography, history, religion, culture, politics, and current affairs in the Middle East and North Africa, the plethora of grammatical errors and poorly constructed text makes comprehension quite difficult.
