DreamQuest is the story of best friends, Tarthur and Derlin, who must take on an adult quest at such a young age. Early on in the story, I chuckled at their exploits as they are so typical of the middle school boy ( the target audience). Bill Pottle creates characters in this fantasy world that makes the reader care about what happens to them. The friends must grow up quickly as they become involved in a war against evil. This fantasy novel has the usual elves and dragons as well as other characters, but with some twists. I can't wait to put this novel in my students' hands and to read the next in the series.

I do not usually like fantasy fiction, but as fantasy goes, this is better than most. I think it would be a great read for anyone who likes this genre. I would have given it a higher rating if it was my kind of read.

The was so good that I kept falling to sleep. I could not put the book down. I can't wait to start the prophecy quest..
It is a Calgon take me away book.

A fantastic read over and over again. I will definitely be sharing this with my son and daughter.

This is a great fantasy story that sweeps you away in an adventure of a young man doing what he can to save his land. I loved this so much that I picked up the sequel the day that I finished.

I tried to read the book. I got almost half way before I just could not take it any more. I am not sure if i was written for a fourth grader or by a fourth grader. The character names are a joke, the plot line is old, the story telling is poor and chaotic. from unrealistic dialog to time jumping in the story with out rhyme or reason. Plot points poorly explained and assumed the reader has the same understanding of what ids going on as the author. Such as how a farmer can be come a the kings chief counselor and yet totally committed to killing off the king and some how assuming that would make him king.

for a Jr high or younger child, it is a ok fantasy story. but if you are in high school or an adult, don't waste your time.

Novel may be very good for a person 13 and under, but to a mature reader, the writing was very childish.
An amazing fantasy novel, full of adventure. The word imagery is constructed as such that I felt I was immersed in the book rather than reading it.
